The bad mistakes

I have become a delinquent. (I think.)

On the first day of one of my courses I thought the professor said that students didn't need to attend tutorials, because he said that attendance or participation is not graded and tutorials are more like tutoring time. I looked through the course outline, to confirm it.

That was eight weeks ago.

Today, I found out that my fellow classmates have been attending tutorials. I checked the course outline again, and it has "Tutorials: all students must attend tutorials unless there is illness or an emergency." *Slams head to desk*

I haven't been to tutorial classes for 5 weeks (excluding reading week and cancelled classes).

What should I do? Start attending the tutorials of course! (No, duh!) *face-palm* I feel embarrassed, ashamed, and frustrated about my mistake. I really should read things more thoroughly and pay attention to what people are saying.

[later]

I went to the tutorial class in the right pace and time, but no one showed up in the first 20 minutes, so I left. Are there tutorials or are there not? I am so confused. I guess this means I'll have to remember how to chat with people.

To be Tobi

Well, well. Look at what we have here. Cosplay. NARUTO cosplay.

I have to respect Masashi Kishimoto's first volumes of Naruto: the art style had a certain Tezuka feeling to it when it came with backgrounds (or that's just me).

When he arrived
we thought we knew him.
Who he is now
is not someone we all expected.

-- or is he?

I don't know. I liked Tobi more when he was all goofy. It's amuzing knowing that he's trying to rule the world, but he's so serious all the time now.

The Limit is Calling

I found out that the limit of items per albums on Picasa is 500. Each blog has their own album, and I've already gone over 100 in less than a year! I looked through the images I have on thims blog so far, and I think I should categorize some of the images (such as convention images and buttons) into their own album. So! For the next few days, I will be organizing the images in this blog into albums and fixing the codes of the related posts. After that, I will be trying to get myself used to uploading images to albums in Picasa rather than uploading images with blogger (even though using blogger would take so much less time and effort).

Amplified

Do you know Gintama? If yes and you've watched the anime or just its music endings, remember that song called 'Mr. Raindrop'? That song was by a band called Amplified, and I thought their CDs were only available online and in Japan.

Turned out that this one asian CD store in Toronto sold one of their CDs. I waited 2 years before deciding to finally buy the $30 CDN CD. (I know, I'm lame.) I bought the CD because I wanted the lyrics and I prefer physical CDs over downloaded songs. I don't like burned CDs because they don't come with the CD cover.

Conclusion: YES! I FINALLY GOT THE CD. XP

Mother's Mother

My parents, sister, and I visited my grandmother. When I walked into her apartment room where she lives alone, I saw my uncle next to my grandmother who was crying. I remembered my cousin telling me a month before that my grandmother has been crying everytime no one was there. The only other time I've ever seen her cry was at my grandfather's funeral.

I sat next to my grandmother as she cried and tried asking her a few questions, like if she's eaten yet or if she wants to go anywhere. She shook her head. I stared at her for awhile and noticed that she wouldn't stop shaking her head and crying. Her hands were thinner than the last time I've seen her, and the back of her neck looked like it was going to fall off.

Before I left, I gave her a hug and said good bye. I don't know if I'll have another chance to see her again, because the apartment she lives in is far and I'm not allowed to have a key to get in. No one in my family wants to live with her because of how she treated them in the past. I feel bad about how she may end up spending the last days of her life crying, but then again, my mother may go through that too.

Puccho

Puccho candy tastes so good! Well, the soda one anyways. I've tried the chocolate strawberry one, and it tasted odd.Puccho choco-ichigoIf it were made of real chocolate strawberry instead of the chewy gummy-like substance, maybe I would have liked it. I still have to try out the other flavours. I have to admit: the package was what got my attention, along with how much my little sister likes it. The cartoon characters they use on the packages are cute!

I checked out puccho's website and it looks so nice. The layout design and graphics are way better than what I can ever do with my current skills. Puccho's website is http://puccho.jp.

Puccho is usually available at east asian grocery stores or candy shops.

The good mistakes

Good mistakes are when you thought that you had 3 exams and 3 assignments due in 3 days when actually, you had 2 exams and 4 assignments due in 3 days. Assignments are okay I guess. I like it when teachers don't mind all the pen scratch marks all over the assignment.

My computer is malfunctioning at the moment. Chances of it getting fixed soon is low, but that means I get more bonding time with my laptop. Oh Fuji, you're so nice and tough. Dell on the other hand is having a tough time being ill.

I am glad I still have access to a printer and a scanner.

What I don't like about angry people

What I don't like about angry people is that they may end up releasing their anger on people who weren't involved with the incident that angered them. It feels uncomfortable being yelled at by a person who is angry with you because they are angry with someone or something else. I get frustrated myself when people are frustrated with me. Well, I guess the chain of anger is expected.

When I am angry, I try to find something I can laugh at to forget about feeling frustrated. I works when I laugh happily. When I laugh angrily, it feels good too, but in an awkward way.

Question: if you have a way to relieve frustration, what is your method?

Feels like screaming but wants to sleep

I didn't get echos from anyone's yelling when I yelled. Guess I wasn't yelling and listening at the right moment.

Turns out a lot of people I've met offline have birthdays concentrated around the fall season. That or the people who have birthdays in the other seasons just don't have a habit of reminding me that their birthdays are coming up every other week.

I understand that birthdays are important because it's the same date on the calendar from when one is born. What I don't understand is why they are special. When I think about my birth date, I've already got plans to attend classes and will probably have plans to work for charming money on later birthdays in life. I don't think my ancestors celebrated birthdays either. I think the only things they had ceremonies for (other than seasonal changes, moon phases, New Year, and the Lunar leap) were birth, the passage to manhood or womanhood, wedding, and death.

On another note, I've got 3 prjects and 3 mid-term examinations due in the next 3 days. I guess three is my lucky number of the week.

Still Studying

I won't be posting in the next 4 days. I didn't think studying for midterms and finishing assignments at the same time could be so hard. All that work makes me want to fall asleep and forget about them.

ARGH

Scream with me!
There are so many things in my life that make me want to yell 'ah!' or 'argh!' and 'roar!!!' I try to embrace the unexpected things that hit me in life, but sometimes I find myself unable to. I am sure that I am not the only one with this feeling.

Someone, yell with me!!! Maybe the echos of our yells will reach each other. :D

In other thought boxes: I plan to make a fan video of Internet Sensation: TaroBoy. I predict that I would have to wait until winter break until I may begin the project, and finish it before New Years.

What I found while cleaning my room 1

What I found while cleaning my room were grade 4 to 8 papers. I made two piles of paper to recycle and tied them up with dried-grass-looking string. The piles were each more than 2 inches high.

Looking at the piles of paper made me think about all the paper wasted over the years just so that this one academically challenged kid may enter into a high school and then a post-secondary institution. Most of the pages in the workbooks (with pre-printed work in them) from all the grades were empty, because the teacher didn't have enough time to get to them. Many of the sheets of paper were also used for research purposes and print out research information from the internet.

I guess there is a plus side to using a laptop: you don't need to use paper anymore to carry information around. What would be inconvenient is if the battery died and there is no way of getting it charged or replacing it. That's what I believe.

... I also found a 1998 Furby.

gagoo box started off as a small gashapon capsule slot machines and gift shop in Pacific Mall. It later became a business that supports smaller businesses by renting out cubicle display shelf space while keeping its gashapon machines. gagoo box opened a second shop on Queen Street in downtown Toronto.

The products in gagoo box's shop in Pacific Mall are mostly targeted to females. I once brought a few male friends in there and they insisted that they felt a awkward in the shop. I didn't notice the products' target market until I brought them there. I have yet to check out gagoo box's downtown location.

The products that are usually sold at gagoo box are coloured lenses, DIY items, handmade goods, keychains, figures, and a large variety of accessories.

Pictures of gagoo box's shops are available on their website. Their website is also on Blogspot! I was amazed when I found out about that.

Lolita Clothing?

Click on the images in this post if you want to view the full image.

I have to admit: I am not good at displaying clothing. Especially the ones I make. I like laced lolita clothing, but they are too expensive. I tried making some accessories like bows that can clipped anywhere and headgear, but I feel the things I make are tacky compared to lolita clothing in the market. I have no problem buying lace and fabric, because compared to the stores in my area that sell laced clothing, taking a trip to the fabric store is much nicer in my point of view. THe types of laces that the fabric store sells are so beautiful.

I bought a few hair clips and pins so that the accessories can be easily attached to clothing. I have yet to wear the accessories to test if they stay on the clothing and head when worn for long periods of time. I do know that any strong winds that pass by can easily blow off the headgear.

I hope to be able to make dresses when I get the patterns I want.

My Cannon SD1100 surprisingly photographs good details of fabric.

Silver-looking Loonie

While my parents and I were cleaning the living room near the begining of September, we found a silver-looking loonie in a silver jewel box. My parents sait that they placed the loonie in the box in 1990. Now it's silver-looking and we all don't know why. Most likely has something to do with science.

We put two pennies in the jewel box and I am looking forward to opening the jewel box to see the pennies in ten years.

Air

Ah~ The air outside smells so nice today. It's cloudy and bright, and the air is light. There's also a light cool breeze.

I wonder if it's going to rain soon. I better get indoors before my laptop gets wet.

Fandom Sections?

I am trying to group the fandoms. My definition of fandom groups is the category a fan is specialized or involved in. Fans may associate themselves with one or more category of fandom.

I am going to mention a few groups in the fandom, and if you've got any to add to it, please comment.

  1. Cosplay

  2. Collecting

  3. Fan art

  4. Fan fiction

  5. Music

  6. Gaming

  7. Review/Information

This would be a pretty cool topic for a fanzine.

Momentum

These days I am trying to clean my room, but it's so hard to do that when you've got 14 years of almost every thing you collected in one room. I've got toys from when I was a baby, clothes, blankets, and towels from when I was 8, anime figures since 2002 until now, and random books and magazines everywhere. I don't know what to do with all the Pokémon, Yu-gi-oh!, Digimon, and Cardcaptor Sakura cards either. (At least they make good bookmarks.)

I am one of those people that don't like to throw out many of the junk I buy or the gifts I receive. (._.) I guess it's time to let go of most of them... but what to do with them? I don't want to throw them out, because that would mean a lot of garbage. I don't even know if I can get money from selling everything.

Need more sleep

My plan to sleep more has failed. Maybe if I stop doing paperwork in the middle of the night and do them in the morning would allow me to get more of the natural recharge.

Time needed to recharge: 7 to 14 hours.

Heh. I still cannot believe I could sleep for 14 hours straight and still feel well when I wake up from the long sleep. I usually get headaches and cannot move my limbs properly when I sleep for more than 15 hours.
