Noodle Dogs

I woke up one morning and my father was waiting for my sister and I to eat some noodles he just prepared. I went to the kitchen first, grabbed a bowl of noodles he laid out, and sat beside my mother who was watching the London Olympics. I noticed that he added cut up hot dog sausages, so I grabbed one to eat, but I freaked out the moment it was out of the soup and pile of noodles.

Apparently my aunt shared pictures of this noodle dog technique she tried the night before via Facebook. My father saw the pictures and he wanted to try it. The results were disturbing to me. It looked somewhat like an E. coli bacteria in my opinion. My sister thought it looked very odd.

It turns out this is very easy to do. Before cooking or boiling anything, all you need to do is stick the hard noodles into the sausage. Sauces can come afterwards.

I took a look at my aunt's version of the noodle dogs (or whatever this technique is really called) and the noodles and sausages were darkened from soy sauce.

At least they didn't stick the noodles into fish balls. I never want to encounter another meal like this again though. It felt weird having to bite into it.

There's a fellow Blogger with a post on noodle dogs and a picture of them before she cooked them:

Freddy has Feelings for Traps

I was watching the episode "In Fear of Phantom" of "Scooby Doo! Mystery Inc." when at some point of the show, Freddy tells Daphne that he really likes traps... and her. The first thing that came to my mind when he said "traps" were males disguised as females. Of course, I knew he meant device traps that are used to capture people, but it's funny how well his sentence works out with the "trap" that defines a person's deceiving appearance. Others such as Pembroke (made a comic of it) and losrdude88 (took a video) have caught onto it much earlier than I.

It's fetch.

Daria Fashion

I was at the Eaton Centre's H&M the other day and they had mannequins dressed in something that looked like Daria's signature outfit--with the green blazer and black skirt, minus the hair and glasses. I'd take a picture of the display if I had permission.

Storm Water

It was raining heavily for a short period early last week, and there was something weird floating on the newly paved roads in my neighborhood during that time.

I took a picture of the roadside. The picture's not great because I took the image with an iTouch (behind glass too) and I was in a moving vehicle. The weird floating stuff looked like watery white foam. I thought it was soap at first, but after passing more than 3 blocks worth of roads with white stuff floating by, I had second thoughts about it. Does anyone know what it is? I can't seem to find any answers off of search engines.
